OPERATION POISON DART - A CHEMICAL EMERGENCY SURGE EXERCISE
On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the Healthcare Coalition of Rhode Island (HCRI) will conduct an exercise titled “Operation Poison Dart.”
This exercise will focus on medical surge issues following a chemical emergency. The exercise is organized into two parts. Part I is a Chemical Surge Virtual Tabletop Exercise (VTTX). Part II is a Medical Response and Surge Exercise (MRSE).
Operation Poison Dart will be held virtually (via Zoom). We anticipate the exercise to start at 8:30 AM and to finish at 3:30 PM. This time period includes a lunch break, during which hospitals will gather and submit information to HCRI.
Please note that to complete the required exercise, at least one senior leadership (C-suite) personnel must be in attendance during the exercise hotwash.

- 8:30-8:45AM: Log in, Audio/Visual Check with HCRI
- 8:45-9:00AM: Chemical Surge Virtual Tabletop Exercise (VTTX) Start
- 11:30-11:45AM : Chemical Surge VTTX Hotwash
- 11:45-12:00PM Chemical Surge VTTX End; Medical Response and Surge Exercise (MRSE) Instructions
- 12-2:00PM: Lunch Break; Hospital Information Gathering and Submission to HCRI
- 2:00-3:00PM: HCRI Data Analysis
- 3:00-3:30PM : MRSE End; Hotwash with hospital C suite personnel
