Yesterday, HCRI hosted an education and skills demonstration meeting on the new personal protective equipment (PPE) purchased by the Coalition for its acute care hospital members!  A physician and respiratory therapist from the National Ebola Training and Education Center joined us to share valuable lessons learned from experiences caring for PUIs while in full PPE.  Additionally, local subject matter experts joined us to discuss their roles during a hazardous material incident and then provided guidance on PPE best practices.

Emergency preparedness coordinators, infection control professionals, and an ED staff from Rhode Island’s Frontline and Assessment Hospitals attended.
